Collection: Artist Collection: Nadine Koski

Artist Nadine Koski is an encaustic artist from Tennessee. Encaustic pieces are made with beeswax on a flat surface.

Each layer of wax must be fused with a torch or a heat source. She works the layers of wax as she sees the layers of the story of the composition. Pigments can be added to the wax medium or can be embedded between thin layers of wax. “There is a little science mixed in with the mystery in trying new processes. Accidents and unexpected results are part of the intrigue of this medium,” says the artist.

This collection represents only a small sample of Koski's amazing paintings. Please visit our gallery in person to see more of these gorgeous one-of-kind creations!
